About the house: a family chalet built to order
Chalet Étoiles des Neiges (Snow Stars Chalet) is our family's house in Les Masses, next to Les Collons, in the Hérémence municipality of Valais. It was built to order, and we chose the plot for the view over the peaks and the valley and for the trails close by in summer and winter. Alpvision Résidences, a local agency, looks after the house and the bookings.
Built to order, not bought off a plan
The house was built to order, so the design could still be changed during the build. It has a lift between the floors and a step-free entrance.
193 m² on several levels: four bedrooms with a 160×200 bed, a ground-floor studio with a sofa bed and a mezzanine with 2 single beds. Up to 12 guests.

Why this plot: the view and the trails
We picked the plot for three reasons: the view over the peaks and the valley, trails close by in summer and winter, and the plans to develop the area with hotels and pools.
The area is very quiet. Bars and ski lifts are a short drive or bus ride away: the Les Masses chairlift is 1.8 km by road.
What the house has
- Outdoor hot tub on the terrace, all year, no extra charge
- Infrared sauna in its own studio with a shower and WC
- Fireplace in the living room, 2 TVs
- Kitchen with dishwasher and Nespresso, 2 fondue and 2 raclette sets, a table for 12
- 5 bathrooms with a shower: 3 on level -1, 2 on level -2, plus a separate WC on the kitchen floor
- Washing machine and dryer, terrace, balcony, garden, garage for 1 car
Looked after by a local agency
Alpvision Résidences, based in Veysonnaz, manages the house, takes the bookings and sets the prices (listing 324847). After guest feedback, the house got new duvets in 2025 at Alpvision's request.

Hot tub on the terrace, all year
The outdoor hot tub sits on the terrace and runs all year, at no extra cost. Use it after skiing, or late in the evening before the sauna.

Downside: Le réseau wifi / connexion internet

Fantastisch huis op een schitterende locatie. Prachtig was ook het grote scherm die zeer makkelijk te koppelen was met je telefoon zodat we 's avonds alle foto's op groot beeld konden bekijken.

For the view over the peaks and the valley and the quiet. The Les Masses chairlift is still only 1.8 km by road, about 4 minutes by car.
